Italian Bean Bake Recipe

Ingredients

2 16-ounce cans cut Italian green beans, drained

1 8-ounce can tomato sauce

1 tbsp prepared mustard

2 tsp minced dried onion

1/8 tsp garlic salt

1/8 tsp pepper

1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese

 

Method

Combine drained beans, tomato sauce, mustard, dried onion, garlic salt and pepper. Turn mixture into a 1-quart casserole. Cover and bake in a 350o oven 30 minutes. Sprinkle cheese atop. Bake, uncovered, 1 to 2 minutes more or till cheese is melted. Makes 6 servings.

 

Microwave directions: In a 1-quart nonmetal casserole combine beans, tomato sauce, mustard, dried onion, garlic salt, and pepper. Cook, covered in a counter-top microwave oven on high power for 6 minutes or till hot, turning and stirring once. Sprinkle cheese atop. Micro-cook, uncovered, 1 minute longer.
