Deluxe Peas and Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups shelled peas or one 10-ounce package frozen peas

1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

1/4 cup chopped onion

2 tbsp butter or margarine

1 tsp sugar

1 tbsp chopped pimiento

 

Method

Cook fresh peas as direction in cooking vegetables. (Or, cook frozen peas according to package directions. ) Drain well. Cook mushrooms and onion in butter till tender. Stir in sugar, 1/2 tsp sugar and dash pepper. Add cooked peas and pimiento. Cover; heat through. Serves 4.
