Creamy Succotash Recipe

Ingredients

1 10-ounce packages frozen lima beans

1/2 cup water

1/2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

1 10-ounce package frozen whole kernel corn

1/2 cup milk

4 tsp all-purpose flour

1 tbsp butter or margarine

 

Method

Cook lima beans, covered, in the water seasoned with the salt and pepper for 10 minutes. Add frozen corn. Return to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and cook 5 minutes more or till tender. Do not drain. Gradually stir milk into flour; stir into vegetable mixture in saucepan. Add butter or margarine. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more. Makes 6 servings.
