Spinach-Orange Toss Recipe |

Ingredients 6 cups torn fresh spinach (about 8 ounces) 1 11-ounce can mandarin orange sections, drained 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 3 tbsp salad oil 1 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 tsp poppy seed 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup toasted slivered almonds
Method Place torn spinach in a large bowl. Add mandarin orange sections and sliced fresh mushrooms. Toss lightly; cover and chill.
For dressing, in a screw-top jar combine
salad oil, lemon juice, poppy seed, and salt. Cover and shake well.
Chill. Shake again and pour the dressing over the spinach-orange
mixture. Toss salad lightly to coat. Sprinkle toasted almonds over top.
Serve immediately. Makes 6 servings. Per 1/6 serving: 9 g carbohydrates, 175 calories, 15 g fat, 4 g Protein, 119 mg sodium
