Marinated Shrimp Appetizers Recipes

Ingredients

2 pounds fresh or frozen large shrimp, shelled and deveined

1/2 cup cooking oil

1/2 cup lime juice

3 tablespoons dry white wine

1 tablespoon snipped chives

1 clove garlic, minced

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon dried dillweed

Several dashes bottled hot pepper sauce

Method

Thaw shrimp, if frozen. Place in a shallow baking dish. For marinade, combine oil, lime sauce, wine, chives, garlic, salt, dillweed, and hot pepper sauce. Pour marinade mixture over shrimp. Cover and refrigerate 4 to 6 hours or overnight. Occasionally spoon marinade over shrimp.

Remove the shrimp, reserving marinade. Thread shrimp on skewers or place in a wire grill basket. Grill over hot coals for 8 to 10 minutes or till done, turning and brushing often with reserved marinade. Serve on wooden picks. Makes 30 appetizers.
