Coconut-Pecan Frosting Recipe

Ingredients:

1 egg

1 5 1/3-ounce can (2/3 cup) evaporated milk

2/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup butter or margarine

Dash salt

1 1/3 cups flaked coconut

1/2 cup chopped pecans

 

Method:

In a saucepan beat egg slight. Stir in milk, sugar, butter or margarine, and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat about 12 minutes or till thickened and bubble. Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool thoroughly. Spread on cake. Frosts top of one 13x9-inch cake or tops of two 8- or 9- inch layers.
