Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting Recipe

Ingredients:

Frosting become stiffer when refrigerated --

1 6-ounce package (1 cup) semisweet chocolate pieces

1/4 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup dairy sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar

 

Method:

In a saucepan melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring frequently. Cool about 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream, vanilla, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating by hand till smooth and of spreading consistency. Frosts two 9- or 9xinch layers. Store in refrigerator.
