For a nice change of pace, make these in the Italian style, with a slight variation in the spices. Instead of the quantities of rubbed sage, thyme, and marjoram, substitute one teaspoon dried thyme, one teaspoon fennel seeds, and a half teaspoon rubbed sage. You might also want to increase the amount of red ground pepper from a fourth to a half teaspoon.
Ingredients 10 ounces lean ground pork 10 ounces lean ground turkey
1 slice bacon, minced 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon salt vegetable cooking spray
Method:
Combine all ingredients except cooking
spray in food processor fitted with knife blade; cover and pulse
until well blended.
