Steam-cooking in a little water
This is an excellent method of cooking vegetables, and can be considered on a par with cooking in a steamer. In a saucepan, bring a little liquid (water, broth, stock) to the boil. Add the vegetables, cover and steam-boil your vegetables, checking on the water level from time to time. Do not let them boil dry.
