Preparing breakfast for a trip with kids onboard
Cooking idea June 2nd, 2009We are going to take off to the capital tomorrow. Got to get ourselves prepared with some sandwiches since the coach doesnt provide food…or should i say they dont provide food suitable to kids taste. Spicy stuff aint for the girls.
I bought some button mushrooms and fried them with garlic and butter.
Wait till it cool down and store in the fridge.
If you still remember how i cooked during my Perth trip, here i do it again. LOL.
But the kids love it, and i love it too.
So fragrance even while frying it.
Then i sliced some tomatoes and japanese cucumber plus some lettuce.
Havent been using the sandwich maker for sometime and i thought this will make a good storage. Coz once the bread are sandwiched with mushroom, tomato, lettuce, cucumber and garlic butter, it will be good to make the size look “smaller” and the skin crispier. That way, it will save some storage space while i am backpacking.
I have 1 large haversack with me, and the kids are each carrying one, with one of them to be the food carrier.
Try this ham sandwich too.
