Pork Chop Sweet-and-Sour Apples and Onions Recipe |

Ingredients vegetable cooking spray 4 (3-ounce) boneless pork chops (3/4 inch thick), trimmed salt (optional) freshly ground pepper 2 teaspoons olive oil 2 medium red onions, thinly sliced 1 tablespoon light brown sugar 2 medium apples, cored and thinly sliced 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/4 cup frozen apple juice concentrate 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium teriyaki sauce
Method Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat.
Sprinkle pork chops lightly on both sides with salt; season with pepper. Cook pork chops until browned on both sides (about 4 to 5 minutes total). Transfer pork chops to plate; cover with aluminium foil to keep warm.
Add oil to skillet. Add onions and sugar; saute until onions are tender but not brown. Add garlic and apples; saute 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients; add pork chops and any accumulated juices to skillet.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 to 6 minutes or until pork chops are done.
