Fiesta Beef Kebab Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup catsup

1/2 envelope regular onion soup mix

1/4 cup vinegar

1/4 cup cooking oil

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon prepared mustard

Dash bottled hot pepper sauce

1 1/2 pounds beef top round steak, cut into 1-inch pieces

2 green or red sweet peppers

 

Method

For marinade, combine first 7 ingredient, 1/2 cup water, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Bring to boiling. Cover; simmer 20 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Add meat. Cover; simmer 20 minutes. Cover; refrigerate overnight. Turn heat occasionally. Drain beef; reserve marinade. Cut peppers into 1-inch squares. on 6 skewers alternate beef and peppers. Grill over medium-hot coals to desired doneness; allow about 15 minutes for rare. Baste kebabs with marinade. Serve 6.
