Chinese-Style Beef Ribs Recipe

Ingredients

4 pounds lean beef plate spareribs, cut into 2- to 3- portions

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup dry white wine

6 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp ground ginger

1 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp ground cloves

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp aniseed, crushed

Oven 350o

 

Method

Marinate in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight, turning bag occasionally to distribute marinade evenly.

 

Remove ribs from bag and place ribs on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Pour the marinade over the ribs. Cover and bake in a 350o for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or till ribs are tender, basting with juices occasionally. Serves 6.
