Basic Grilled Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/2 teaspoon salt

Dash pepper

 

Method

Mix beef, salt, and pepper. Form into four 4-inch patties. Grill over medium-hot coals for 5 to 6 minutes; turn and grill 4 to 5 minutes more. Serve on burns, if desired. Serves 4.

 

Variations: Add any of the following to the basic meat mixture: 2 tablespoons chopped green onion; 2 tablespoons drained sweet pickle relish; 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento-stuffed olives; 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish; or 1/4 teaspoon minced dried garlic.
